MobyGames is a wiki dedicated to all video games and discusses everything related to them, was founded in 1999 by Jim Leonard and Brian Hirt and is hosted by Atari which is based in France in Paris.
Why It's a Moby Genius
- This wiki is very rich in various functions that separate one part from the others, making it neater.
- The library is incredibly extensive and includes literally every gaming platform out there.
- It has a very extensive search engine which is even better than on Wikipedia because you can use a category filter.
- Unlike other wiki-like sites, here you can rate the game, so you can express your opinion and even write a review.
- Total absence of any ads, in other words, no frustration whatsoever.
- You can add more information to a page than any other wiki, and it's easier without using too much text.
The Only Bad Quality
- It's very hard to contribute here because an edit has to be approved by a moderator and edits are very often skipped although this is to prevent spam and vandalism, also it doesn't work on MediaWiki.
