TV Tropes is an wiki for tropes commonly found in media. It was founded in April 2004 from a thread on a now-defunct Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan forum known as Buffistas.org.

The website has a particular system for creating a trope to prevent unnecessary tropes from flooding the wiki.
The wiki has fan forums where people can discuss media.
The Only Bad Quality
The wiki's software is very hard to use, making it difficult to edit pages.
